Privacy

Lykewise is a mutual-interest matching app. You make question sets about specific people, both parties answer independently, results are revealed only when both agree. Sign-in is via your account; everything else (sets, answers, results, follows, trusted users) lives on our server.

All data is account-linked. Answers are blind-by-design: neither party sees the other's inputs until both approve. Usage and error monitoring is anonymous. Push notifications for follower activity are opt-in.

What we collect

We collect and store the following kinds of data, each with its own retention and legal basis:

Account: Your account sign-in stores your email, a hash of your password (argon2id), and your display name if you provide one. Sign-in issues a short-lived JWT access token (15 minutes) and a refresh token (30 days). Email verification and password reset go through transactional email (Resend).Stored on our server. Profile and identity code: Your display name, identity code (XXXX-XXXX-XXXX), and per-user settings (theme, accepting_sets policy, allow_follows policy).Stored on our server. Kept until you delete it. Legal basis: contract (needed to run the service). Removable when you delete your account.
Question sets and answers: The sets you create (standard, open, or group), the questions you select, your per-person answers (yes / no / curious / hard limit), role and intensity values, canary marks, and per-question notes. Blind-by-design: the other party never sees your inputs until both approve.Stored on our server. Kept until you delete it, Standard sets are subject to 90-day cleanup unless archived; archived sets are exempt. Legal basis: contract (needed to run the service). Mutual results and annotations: Once both parties approve, the matched results (questions both said yes / curious to, plus hard-limit confirmations). Follows and trusted users: Your follow relationships, follow requests (pending / accepted / rejected), and bidirectional trusted-user assignments (which let mutual-trust pairs auto-release results).Stored on our server. Blocks: Users you have blocked. Blocking removes existing follow relationships in both directions and prevents future contact.Stored on our server. Kept until you delete it. Legal basis: contract (needed to run the service). Removable when you delete your account.

Usage telemetry: Page views, click events, and crash reports (anonymous usage and error monitoring). Does not include the contents of your answers, sets, or results.Stored on our server. Your rights

You can export everything we hold about you, and delete your account at any time. Both options live in your account settings. Deletion is immediate and unrecoverable.
